Last Month Today with Noah Jorgensen!!

Welcome to my thirty-forth blog!! I will share things that have happened in July. If my title of the blog sound familiar, it is a play on words from HBO’s late night show: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Another Disney connection: He voiced Zazu in Disney’s Live-Action Lion King.

July started with America’s 250th Birthday on July 4th. During the first week of the month I was volunteering to setup the Merch Stores for Lifest. Which is an annual Christian Music Festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin at the Sunnyview Expo Center. The 1st Lifest was in 1999. Their 2018 Festival (20th Event) was my 1st and I have attended everyone since. This year was the 1st time camping by myself. I was able to camp early because I was volunteering from July 5th to July 8th. The Festival was held from July 9th to July 12th. Sunnyview Expo Center received a $5.1 Million contract to update the grounds. The grounds layout was quite different and they are not done.

Disney attended this year’s Fanatics Fest to announce something very exciting for sport fans. Fanatics Fest, an annual sports fan event was held July 16th through July 19th. Disney announced they have partnered with the National Football League and Champion clothing line to match a Disney character with each of the NFL’s 32 teams. They announced the 1st 8 teams with a Disney character: Buffalo Bills (Beast), Dallas Cowboys (Woody), Las Vegas Raiders (Darth Vader), New England Patriots (Captain America), New York Giants (Wreck-It Ralph), New York Jets (Buzz Lightyear), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Captain Hook), and Washington Commanders (Hamm).

On July 20, us at Odyssey Cinemas & Social Fond du Lac 8 announced Disney certified our Premium Format Screen with their Infinity Vision label. This will help moviegoers know they can experience the best in entertainment among the other selected cinemas.

This past weekend July 23rd through July 26th was the 60th San Diego Comic-Con. This is an annual comic book convention and multi-genre entertainment event. Multiple properties across the Worlds of Disney attended including, ABC, FX, Hulu, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney+, and National Geographic. Marvel Studios also attended to announce some exciting news. Ryan Gosling will be bring Ghost Rider to life for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will premiere sometime in 2028. The Black Panther 3 will also premiere on December 15, 2028.

It was so fun writing about all things that happened in July. I can’t wait for the next blog. Until next time, keep your days open for more knowledge. Thank you to everyone who reads this blog.
