Amazing Announcements from D23: The Ultimate Disney Event! Welcome to my eleventh blog! And it will be a Disney overload at that. This past weekend, Friday August 9 through Sunday August 11, Disney held one of their best events. The 2024 event was the biggest it ever was before even bigger than the 2022 event which even that event was bigger than the previous events. This year’s event was held at two locations: Anaheim Convention Center & Honda Center. This year the Walt Disney Archives put on their biggest display with showcasing 32 cars that were used in various Disney movies. This year also coincides with D23: The Disney Fan Club’s 15th anniversary. For this event they partnered with Swarovski to make a Sorcerer Mickey’s Hat sculpture with 15,023 crystals. This year’s theme for D23 is magic hence the magical hat, 15,000 crystals for 15 years of D23, and 23 crystals for the year Walt Disney started the company (1923).
