Happy 12th Anniversary to my 1st Pet!!

Welcome to my twentieth blog! Today is the 12th anniversary of when I got my 1st pet. He was a Maltese Yorkie mix or a Morkie. He was too young to take him home when we first picked him as our puppy. I am honoring the day we were able to take him home. May 4, 2013, the day we picked him as our puppy we ate at Culver’s. The Flavor of the Day was Brownie Thunder. He had a caramel and brown color. I decided to name him, Brownie Thunder. 1 year and 4 months later I started my first job at Culver’s. I was happy whenever I would have an Opening shift and I got to make the Brownie Thunder Flavor of the Day (Vanilla Custard, Caramel Syrup, & Brownie Pieces). I can pinpoint a connection between anything in my life and something in the Worlds of Disney. Well, the day we took Brownie Thunder home is also May the 4th Be With You Day for Star Wars’ famous line, “May the Force be with you”, once said by Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Anakin Skywalker.

My family decided to get a puppy when I decided to go to high school online through eAchieve Academy, a Waukesha Wisconsin Virtual Charter School. I would be home to take care of him. Too bad my schoolwork was all online, no excuse my dog ate my homework. It was nice to have him as my study buddy. Also a cuddle buddy when I wanted to take breaks in school. The online coursework was a lot less than I received during my elementary and middle school years, so I was able to keep up with my movie and tv show watchlist, especially Disney. Including the many stories involving Disney Dogs. Those included, Disney’s Bolt (with Penny’s Dog; Bolt), Pixar’s Up (with Carl’s Dog; Dug), Disney Jr.’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (with Mickey’s Dog; Pluto), Disney’s 101 Dalmatians (with Roger’s Dog; Pongo & Anita’s Dog; Perdita). Dogs are truly a man’s best friend and Disney knows that inside and out. They sometimes have different animal characters act like dogs including Maximus, a horse from Disney’s Tangled, who acted as a detective dog.

Sadly he passed away on December 5, 2018. Even though, I only got 5 years with him, it was the best 5 years of my life. And of course it was on the day Walt Disney was born. With these two connections to Brownie Thunder and the Worlds of Disney, I will always remember these dates with the happy memories I have with him.
