 Happy 10th Anniversary to Disney’s Frozen!

Welcome to my second blog! Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature film, Frozen had its World Premiere 10 years ago at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. I saw it in theaters 2 months later and my favorite Disney film of all time was born. The songs in this film are outstanding. “Let It Go” is my favorite Disney song of all time as well. I even have a playlist of many different versions of “Let It Go” on Apple Music. I love this film so much and cannot wait for the 10th Anniversary showing of Frozen on Freeform on November 27, 2023. 

The voice cast of Frozen; Idina Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), and Josh Gad (Olaf), were given the Disney Legend award at the 2022 D23 Expo. A little bit about the Disney Legend award; it is a part of a Hall of Fame program within The Walt Disney Company, which recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Disney.

The reasons I love Frozen so much can probably be collected into a snow pile. (1) The writing and direction by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck. (2) The music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, and Christophe Beck (3) The use of piano in “Let It Go” (4) A new twist on the Princess fairytales with the use of true love between sisters and having a villain prince (5) The feeling of Walt Disney loving this film because he even tried to adopt Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen” multiple times and just could not get it right. (6) Seeing Elsa build up the confidence to be herself during the “Let It Go” sequence.

Some exciting news in the realm of Frozen are (1) Tomorrow, Hong Kong Disneyland will open up their gates for the World of Frozen expansion of the park (I need to plan my first international Disney trip now) (2) Frozen 3 has been announced by the Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger (Making room for a Frozen 3 poster right now) (3) During the film process of Frozen 2, Writer/Director Jennifer Lee was promoted to Chief Creative Officer, who oversees all creative projects at Disney including the new short film “Once Upon a Studio” which she said to the directors of the short, “I don’t know how, but we have to figure out how to make this”.  

It was so fun writing about Walt Disney Animation Studios feature film, Frozen and share all that I know and love about this film.. I cannot wait for the next blog. Until next time, keep your days open for more knowledge. Thank you to everyone who reads this blog.

Happy Day After Disney 2026 Shareholder Meeting Day!! Welcome to my 30th blog! Yesterday was The Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholder Meeting. They transitioned to a new CEO, Josh D’Amaro. He comes from being the head of Disney Experiences. The meeting also marked the first company wide CCO with Dana Walden.  Before the business and shareholder questionnaire portions of the meeting. It started with James Gorman, Disney Board Chairman, welcoming Josh D’Amaro & Dana Walden to the C-Suite and thanking Bob Iger for his 20+ years as CEO. They also showed a Thank You, Bob! Video which was the best Thank You video I have ever seen. On behalf of Disney Shareholders and Disney super fans everywhere, Thank You, Bob for leading the best entertainment company in the world!!   Happy Week After 1st Visit to Universal Epic Universe!! Welcome to my thirty-first blog!! And yes, I am talking about this again. I talk about Disney in all of my blogs its Universal turn.
